Join us for free First Saturdays, history talks, our October mystery tours, and a Long Home decked out for the holidays.
"All old houses have secrets…" Set in 1888, From Dark Pages transports guests into the eerie world of Gothic Literature as legendary literary icons and their creations unite on a chilling murder mystery manhunt to uncover the identity of the infamous Jack the Ripper. Guests will move through the historic Long Home Museum as mystery, suspense, and Victorian intrigue unfold around them. Three one-hour performances will be offered each evening. Attendance is intentionally limited to create an intimate and immersive experience, with only 10 tickets available presale per show. • The ability to climb and descend multiple stair flights and traverse uneven ground is required at this time • Recommended for age 13 and up, parental discretion is advised
Enjoy free museum admission and activities or entertainment on the first Saturday of each month, February through December, hosted by members of the CCHS Board of Trustees. Santa visits the Parlor on the first Saturday in December. Reserve a free ticket so we know how many to expect. Walk-ins are always welcome.

First Saturday of each month, February – December
Enjoy free museum admission, activities, or entertainment at the Long Home Museum. Hosted by members of the CCHS Board of Trustees. First Saturdays in July (America 250 celebrations) and October (From Dark Pages debut) may occur at a different time than the usual 1–4 PM.
The evening before new exhibits open
We have several new and reimagined exhibit experiences on the horizon at both museum locations. CCHS members preview new exhibits the evening before they open to the public while enjoying light refreshments and conversation. Annually in April, during Volunteer Appreciation Month
We celebrate our dedicated volunteers and welcome new ones during this annual meet-and-greet. We have volunteer opportunities to fit all abilities. Volunteers must be 18 or older outside of school or chaperoned activities.

Join the CCHS Board of Trustees and staff for our annual public meeting, where we share year-end society news, celebrate our accomplishments, announce campaign goals for the new year, and vote on newly elected members of the Board of Trustees. Free to attend, with entertainment and refreshments provided.
