Annual Program of Events
First Saturdays - First Saturday of each month, February - December at the Long Home Museum & Cabin. Enjoy free museum admission, activities and entertainment. Hosted by members of the CCHS Board of Trustees. Experience offering varies month to month. Provided free to the public by generous local sponsors.
CCHS Volunteer Appreciation Picnic - Offered annually in June. Location and experience varies each year. CCHS celebrates and honors our dedicated volunteers without whom our services and programs could not happen. Lunch and entertainment are provided. Join as a CCHS volunteer today to receive an invitation to this free event!
Cass County Legacy Speakers - Cass County history lessons shared by local historians, authors and talented speakers. Experience and location varies per event. Videos of past Cass County Legacy Speaker events will be available to view on the society YouTube page (coming soon). Provided free to the public by generous local sponsors.
Home for the Holidays - Experience the grandeur of the Long Home Museum & Cabin fully decorated for the holidays during November and December. Generous support for Home for the Holidays is provided by the Cass County Visitor's Bureau.
A series of festive special events (listed below) are also offered during Home for the Holidays, these events include free admission provided by generous local sponsors.

First Saturday November we count down and light up the property with thousands of sparkling lights. Enjoy the debut of our decorated Italianate home, take holiday photos with family and friends, enjoy live music.

Evening Hours provided on select days in November and December so guests may enjoy the lights, décor and exhibits after work or school.

First Saturday December Santa comes to town, greeting visitors for photos and treats in the Parlor.
